CYCLING FOR A GREENER WORLD——捐赠联合国驻华系统公务车报道登上联合国官网
The United Nations system in China teamed up with China Bicycle Association (CBA) and other partners to promote an environmentally-friendly transport mode with a cycling event around the Sanlitun area in Beijing today.
During the event, Giant donated 30 bikes to be used by UN staff members in Beijing, providing an alternative transportation option - especially for short trips.

“Cycling is clearly a healthy, convenient and green transport option,” said Alain Noudehou, the UN Resident Coordinator in China. “I applaud the CBA and all who supported this event for their efforts in raising the profile of cycling in China and around the world.”
“Let’s continue to promote cycling all over the world to protect the environment and build sustainable communities!” said Ma Zhongchao, Chairman of the CBA.
“Giant is delighted to team up with the UN Country Team in China to raise awareness about green and low-carbon commuting to protect the environment and to lead to a healthier lifestyle.” said Zheng Baotang, the President of Giant China.
The cycling event was attended by staff members from various UN agencies, the CBA, Giant Bikes, helmet and T-shirt sponsors, media and avid cyclists from the public selected through a social media campaign.
